Grevillea lavandulacea
'Grevillea lavandulacea' flowering at the base of a eucalypt tree in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. Commonly known as lavender grevillea, it is endemic to south-eastern South Australia and western and central Victoria.

Briza maxima
Briza is one of 650 genera in the grass (Poaceae) family. ‘Briza’ is Greek and means to nod or sleep and refers to the nodding spikelets. ‘Maxima’ means large and refers to the spikelets. 'Briza maxima' is native to the Mediterranean region. This is hardly a weed in some places and is grown ornamentally or commercially.

"Salvia microphylla" in home garden of Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Known as the baby sage, Graham's sage, or blackcurrant sage, it is an evergreen shrub found in the wild in southeastern Arizona and the mountains of eastern, western, and southern Mexico.
